At Miro we believe in fostering an exceptional team culture.

Miro Restaurant Careers

At Miro we believe in order to have a successful restaurant we need to have exceptional individuals and an exceptional team culture. Our team are committed to our companies core values and are knowledgeable in the whole companies business process.

Living Wage

We believe our biggest asset at Miro is the team and we want to invest in them as much as possible. We are proud to pay the New Zealand living wage as a minimum, meaning no staff member is on less than $22.10 p/h.

We believe in helping our team up skill and improve and therefore earn more.

Systems

We use a range of systems within Miro including Res Diary, Bamboo Hr and loaded reports. These systems allow us to track our critical numbers and help us to hit and exceed our targets.

Open Book Management

At Miro we share our critical numbers with all staff. We meet weekly to go over the previous week’s numbers and forecast for the following week. This allows everyone an owner’s insight on how Miro is performing. We value everyone’s opinion and work together as a team to be the best we can be.

P.I.P (Performance Incentive Programme)

We love our PIP! Every team member has access to the critical numbers and are all aware of the weekly budget set.
We track these numbers daily in loaded reports and everyone knows what we need to do each day to be on budget.

When we hit our weekly target then we pay 1% of weekly turnover on a pro rata basis, based on hours worked, to every single staff member.

There is no upper limit to the amount we can earn!

Through team work and great communication this is a target we consistently hit.

Management P.I.P

Our managers can read a P&L confidently and have a great understanding of all fixed costs and overheads that we incur at Miro.

We set our managers KPI’s each month based on COGS and wage cost.

When this budget is reached we pay out an additional 1.5% of turnover to split between managers.

Education

At Miro we want our team to get as much as knowledge as they can. We strive to provide an environment that encourages learning and up skilling.

We work closely with the hospitality company who provides us with world class coaching and support.

We are always on the lookout for ‘A’ Players to join the team.
